Advanced Distributor Products has an immediate opening for a smart, talented technical leader within our Advanced Engineering Team. This is a full-time position at our 360,000 ft manufacturing facility in Grenada, MS. Our business produces a $250 million revenue stream and competes globally through rapid implementation of innovation and technology within its products and manufacturing operations.
As a manager, the person in this position is responsible for the management, development and implementation of manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of Engineers to achieve company objectives.
Overall responsibility for releasing process to manufacturing which represents the most cost effective process engineering to meet the customer expectations of the product.
Provides guidance and support for integration of shop operations and acts as liaison between Product Engineering, Purchasing, Maintenance, Quality Control Departments, Production Control, and Production Management.
Participates in defining the strategic direction of Engineering.
Ensure equipment and manufacturing processes are ready and available for meeting customer demands.
Creates and maintains program launch timelines and operations issue list.
Confers with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
Responsible for developing departmental goals and objectives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualified candidates will have:
BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering required, advanced degree preferred
Minimum of 10 years progressive manufacturing experience, including supervisory positions.
Demonstrated leadership skills driving key business initiatives or metrics
Good communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to drive results through others in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
Ability and understanding of the budget process and control and managing metrics.
High drive and leadership ability while being a hands-on and willing to “lead form the front” manager
Technical skills: Machine design, PLCs, NC programming, machine & tool design, Lean process improvement, statistical root cause analysis, capital project management & MS Office
Strong Communication Skills both verbal and written
